HOW TO APPLY FOR S&R MEMBERSHIP 2018: COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE

I noticed that there a lot of inquiries and clicks to the first post I created about this topic so I decided to create a new blog post for a more updated S&R membership information.
S&R offers a wide array of food items as well as household items, appliances, furnitures and even backyard playhouses and trampolines. It's like shopping in Costco - "Philippines-style". Roughly 70% of the stocks are American and other imported brands while 30% inventory are locally-sourced products.
Of course, there's a wide array of cakes and other desserts, even imported ice creams and when you get hungry, you can pizza and chicken, burgers and fries, soups and sausages among others. It's a one-stop-shop so to say.
Currently, there are two (2) types of S&R membership:
1. BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP
Currently, the OWNER or MANAGER of a licensed business are allowed to apply for a business membership card. Business membership is Php900/year. One additional card is FREE to the primary cardholder's spouse, domestic partner, or any immediate family member over the age of 18 and living in the same household.
"Ibig sabihin, sa Php900 kada taon, meron kang 2 business membership card na makukuha. That's 2 cards for the price of 1. Super sulit di ba?"
What are the requirements?
A. For Sole Proprietorship - Certificate of Registration of Business Name with DTI, Current year Mayor's Permit, VAT Registration Number
B. For Partnerships and Corporations - SEC Certificate of Registration, Current year Mayor's Permit, VAT Registration Number, Letter from the Head of the Organization authorizing representatives
C. A Director or Manager of a Cooperative or Non-Profit Organization - SEC/CDA Certificate of Registration, BIR Tax Exempt Status (if applicable), Letter from the Head of the Organization authorizing representatives
HOW TO JOIN AND BE A BUSINESS MEMBER?
1. Complete the Business Membership Form. Print a copy.
2. Bring the printed copy of the application form, proof of qualification that identifies your business (and you as an owner, manager or director) and appropriate fees to the membership counter at any S&R warehouse.
3. Business membership is Php900 per year. One additional card is FREE to the primary cardholder's spouse, domestic partner, or any immediate family member over the age of 18 and living in the same household. The membership fee includes VAT.
4. Primary member may add up to three (3) additional members. See membership personnel for extra application forms and additional annual fees.
5. Personalized Photo ID membership cards are issued when you apply in person.
NOTE: Your membership is valid at ALL S&R locations all over the country.
If you don't qualify as a business member, apply for a Gold Membership instead.
2. GOLD MEMBERSHIP
Any individual with 2 valid photo identification cards or document may apply for a gold membership. Any immediate family member with 2 valid ID cards showing same residence address will be allowed to apply as an extension cardholder.
HOW TO JOIN AND BE A GOLD MEMBER?
1. Complete the Gold Membership Form. Print a copy.
2. Bring the printed copy of the application form and attach 2 photocopies of two of the following IDs: Passport, Voter's ID, Driver's License, TIN number card, SSS/GSIS digitized ID, Postal ID, PRC License, Company ID, NBI Clearance, or School ID.
3. Gold membership is Php700 for the first year. One extension card per household is available for Php400 for the first year.
4. Bring your temporary card, proof of payment, and valid ID to claim personalized photo ID membership card.
5. Personalized photo ID membership card is issued when you apply in person at S&R membership shopping warehouse.
NOTE: Your membership is valid at ALL S&R locations all over the country.
